Non-Surgical Orthopaedics, an affiliate of Precision Spine Care, is currently looking for a General Lab Supervisor to join our growing clinical laboratory in Conyers! The General Lab Supervisor is responsible for day to day laboratory operational supervision, including personnel management, resolving technical problems and maintaining the integrity of Non-Surgical Orthopaedics laboratory high complexity testing. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast paced environment, motivated, detail oriented and have excellent customer service skills.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

· Monitor test analyses and specimen examinations to ensure that acceptable levels of analytic performance are maintained.

· Engage in sample preparation and running LC-MS for drug monitoring.

· Ensure patient test results are not reported until all correction action has been taken and the test system is functioning properly.

· Resolve technical problems and ensure remedial action is taken whenever test systems deviate from the laboratory’s established performance specifications.

· Perform routine and preventative maintenance on all instruments to ensure optimum performance.

· Monitor trends in service requests and implement corrective actions to improve operational efficiency and reduce downtime of all instruments.

· Monitor performance of equipment by implementing QA and QC procedures.

· Support, implement and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures including but not limited to Quality and Safety.

· Review and enforce CLIA laboratory policies and procedures.

· Accessible to testing personnel at all times testing is performed to provide on-site, telephone or electronic support and supervision.

· Provide day to day supervision of personnel performing high complexity testing.

· Provide orientation to all testing personnel.

· Participate in personnel performance management including employee performance evaluations, coaching sessions, training, etc.

· Work collaboratively with others, including consulting Laboratory Director and Technical Supervisor.

· Work constructively with remote Laboratory Director and Technical Supervisor.

Qualifications

· 2 – 4 years of experience with LC-MS in a clinical setting preferred. At least 2 years of high complexity testing in toxicology is required. One year of LC-MS experience is required.

· Must fulfill one of the CLIA required criteria for General Laboratory Supervisor.

· Familiar with CLIA regulatory requirements.

· Basic laboratory skills including preparation of solvents, standards and solutions preps.

· Be able to read, write, and speak fluent English.

· Strong PC skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

· Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.

· Strong interpersonal skills.

· Analytical skills to collect data, perform calculations, maintain system logs and operate laboratory computer equipment.

· Skills to manage stress in order to maintain a professional atmosphere and provide quality service.

· Regular, dependable, and reliable attendance.
