Non-Surgical Orthopaedics, an affiliate of Precision Spine Care, is currently looking for a Lab Technician to join our growing clinical laboratory in Conyers! The team at Non-Surgical Orthopaedics is focused on delivering healthcare demonstrating the highest standards of pride, service, and compassion. The Lab Technician is responsible for processing specimen, test performance and test result(s) reporting according to standard protocols and procedures. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast paced environment, motivated, detail oriented and have excellent customer service skills.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

· Follow all Non-Surgical Orthopaedics laboratory procedures regarding specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining patient test result(s) records.

· Perform high complexity testing under the on-site direct supervision of the General Lab Supervisor.

· Maintain records which demonstrate proficient test samples are tested in the same manner as patient’s specimen.

· Adhere to the laboratory’s quality control policies and documenting all QC activities, instrument and procedural calibrations and instrument maintenance.

· Follow laboratory policies whenever test systems are not within the laboratory’s established acceptable levels of performance.

· Identify problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results.

· Document all corrective action taken when test systems deviate from laboratory established performance specifications.

· Work collaboratively with others, including consulting Laboratory Director and Technical Supervisor.

· Work constructively with General Lab Supervisor, and remote Laboratory Director and Technical Supervisor.

Qualifications

· Associates of Science degree required.

· Medical Laboratory Technician certification, preferred.

· Prior clinical laboratory testing experience, preferred.

· Prior phlebotomy experience a plus.

· Must fulfill one of the CLIA required criteria for Laboratory Testing Personnel.

· Prior LC-MS experience a bonus.

· Familiar with CLIA regulatory requirements.

· Basic laboratory skills including preparation of solvents, standards and solutions preps.

· Be able to read, write, and speak fluent English.

· Strong PC skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

· Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.

· Strong interpersonal skills.

· Skills to manage stress in order to maintain a professional atmosphere and provide quality service.

· Regular, dependable, and reliable attendance.
