POSITION SUMMARY: FW Logistics is an experienced logistic service provider that is big enough to handle supply chain logistics needs while still being small enough to give specialized service. We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Warehouse General Laborer. The Warehouse General Laborer is responsible for completing shipments by processing and loading orders. Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area. As a Warehouse General Laborer, you will receive, unpack, arrange, and store goods, and gather, pack, prepare and load goods for dispatching. You may also check stock for damage and wear, report faults and discrepancies to relevant parties, and mark and label stock. In addition, you may pick and/or pack items for dispatching or restock/restack items. To ensure success, you need the ability to follow instructions and operate in an orderly manner. The ideal candidate for this role will be hard working, focused, and have outstanding problem-solving skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Always represent FW Logistics in a courteous and professional manner.
• Ensuring cleanliness, tidiness, and safety of work environment.
• Loading and unloading delivery trucks.
• Accepting delivery of inventory.
• Counting and confirming inventory.
• Inspecting Inventory for damage and faults.
• Communicating errors to relevant parties.
• Marking and labeling stock.
• Storing inventory in an accessible manner.
• Loading and wrapping stock on pallets.
• Building loads with forklift and electronic pallet jack.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Must have high school diploma or GED minimum.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a warehouse, fulfillment center, distribution center or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with a sit-down forklift and/or electric pallet jack is a plus. Must be willing and comfortable learning to operate these types of industrial equipment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to lift 50lbs.
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time up to 8 hours a day if needed.
• Able to bend, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach at or above shoulder level.
• The performance of this position requires exposure to warehouse areas where, at certain times, temperatures fluctuate based on external weather conditions.
