Description
Seeking experienced individual to assist with road construction. THIS POSITION IS FOR A SUMMERTIME LABORER /HELPER THAT WILL BE PERFORMING A VARIETY OF MANUAL TASKS AND THE OPERATION OF VARIOUS TYPES OF EQUIPMENT FOR A COUNTY HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT. Temporary assignment will be from the dates of May 31, 2023 thru August 15, 2023.( Temporary assignment may be extended) ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Must be able to be available at designated work site from the hours of 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday consistently & dependably .Must be able to be present at designated work site a minimum of 40 hours per week, as established by supervisor. Emergencies could require 24 hour on-call. Performs a variety of manual tasks as assigned by supervisory personnel, usually working in a utility capacity. Transfers materials and equipment from one project to another or from one task to another where demand requires assistance of workers with varied experience and ability to work without close supervision. Assists heavy construction equipment operations in aligning and moving equipment. Directs truck drivers to dumping position. Works on asphalt patching and paving crew, clearing, mowing, boom ax, and tin horn crews. Assists with replacement of and maintenance of county road signs. Experience
1-2 years related work experience.Must possess a valid Oklahoma Class D Drivers License. CDL Class A or Class B is desirable
Education Required
