Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED- Meets the necessary health and physical qualifications
- Maintains current Tennessee driver's license.
Essential Functions
Perform grounds keeping and playground maintenance duties.- Landscape by planting flowers, grass, shrubs, and bushes.
- Apply pesticide to rid grounds of pests such as mosquitos, wasps, ticks, and others.
- Apply fertilizer to ground to enhance growth.
- Cut down tree limbs that are posing a danger.
- Trim shrubs and pull weeds.
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in grounds
keeping including irrigation systems. - Rake, mulch, and prune the grounds as needed.
- Water plants and grass as needed and apply fertilizer
- Assembles, installs, inspects, repairs, replaces, and relocates playground equipment.
- Installs equipment in conformity with approved drawings, safety standards, specifications,
and federal and State playground regulations. - Mixes and pours concrete for equipment foundations.
- Cuts, drills, and assembles pipe for playground equipment framework and assists in fence
installation. - May inspect playground equipment prior to its first use and write certification reports as
required by the applicable federal and State playground regulations. - May operate pneumatic tools to break pavement and dig holes.
- Transports a variety of tools, equipment and supplies for the purpose of ensuring the
availability of materials required at job site. - Participates in meetings, workshops, training, and seminars for the purpose of conveying
and/or gathering information required to perform job functions. - Performs other related duties as required.
