Large Format Print Operator / Installer

Bring your signs production experience and come join our team! We are seeking a leader for this high-growth, strategic area of our business! You'll combine creativity with ability to create signs and large format jobs of all types for our customers including wall graphics, rigid signs and more!

Position Overview

Duties:

This position requires managing the efficient operation and production of the Signs department. Excellent small team leadership skills are required to manage and motivate a work group as well as coordinate labor resources with other department supervisors. The diverse product offering requires sign production understanding as well as sign finishing, application and installation. Will be required to assist in business development efforts through the center’s sales and customer services personnel.

This is a hands-on position and projects are time sensitive.

Qualifications:

• MUST HAVE: Minimum 2 years’ experience in sign or printing PRODUCTION
• You will NOT be considered if you cannot demonstrate this specifically and thoroughly in your application questions
• Installation knowledge a plus
• Knowledge of Onyx, Adobe Illustrator and InDesign

Required Skill Set:

· Solid understanding of the capabilities and product applications of the in house as well as vendor produced sign products.

· Comprehensive understanding of local market pricing and Print Smith Vision (Job Estimating, Management and POS system) functionality including estimating, job building, sign department media definitions and sign charge definitions.

· Understand basic file preparation including working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Onyx file workflow or equivalent.

· Understand proper sign design fundamentals.

· Capable of operating and maintaining all sign department equipment.

· Capable of finishing and installing sign products and basic understanding of installing complex sign projects.

· Desire to continue to learn new products and sign applications and continue to improve production and business development process.

Responsibilities:

· Department profit and loss responsibility.

· Interface with suppliers and supervise sublet production activities.

· Interface with customer service, sales and other customer facing personnel to answer questions and directly assist their sign understanding and sales efforts.

· Responsible for understanding center workflow and how other departments and center personnel interface with sign department.

· Interface with customers and prospects, outside installation and sublet vendors.

· Coordinate and assist in in-house and contracted sign installations.

Compensation/Benefits:

• Compensation commensurate with experience

• Rate increase opportunity upon successful completion of 90-Day Introductory Period
