Must be willing to work Evenings and Weekends.
Primary Job Functions:
- Maintaining care and organizing the nursery and associated products (mulch, fertilizer, stone, pavers, landscapingetc.)
- Offer garden expertise and plant product selection advice
- Maintain the nursery (watering and trimming) and aisles on a daily basis
- Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements
- Knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials used in the gardening industry
- Knowledge in the preparation and application of plants to different soil types and substrates
- Knowledge in estimating time and material requirements for work projects
- Customer Service (help customers find what they need in a professional and courteous manner)
Secondary Job Functions:
- Help load merchandise for customers
- Help check in freight
- Cleaning and stocking merchandise
- Updating prices
Qualifications:
- Good attitude, friendly
- Retail experience, nursery experience, and landscaping is a plus
- Ability to operate office machines, computers, and Excel is a plus
- Knowledge of lawn and garden merchandise
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours; including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Self-motivated
- Organized
- H.S. Diploma or G.E.D. is preferred
- Good physical condition for lifting, watering, and merchandising
