Madden Industrial Craftsmen is looking for a Lead Carpenter for a direct hire position with a remodeling and restoration company located in Vancouver, WA. The lead carpenter’s responsibilities include assigning and explaining tasks to the project team, coordinating with clients, hands-on carpentry tasks, and regularly inspecting work done by the project team to ensure that it conforms to certain specifications.
Pay: $28-$33/hr
Lead Carpenter Responsibilities:
- Assigning and explaining tasks to the project team.
- Communicating with superintendents, project managers, and clients in order to determine the time frames within which projects should be completed.
- Assisting with evaluating the amount of labor, time, and materials needed for each project.
- Assisting with supervising the company's field construction personnel.
- Performing all carpentry duties required, including framing, sheet rock, painting, finish carpentry, siding, roofing, flooring, tile, and more.
- Maintaining accurate records of all work done by the project team.
Lead Carpenter Qualifications:
- 4+ years of carpentry experience including being well rounded in all relevant tasks or very strong in several if not versed in everything.
- Valid driver's license and insurable to drive a company vehicle.
- The ability to safely operate power tools.
- The ability to read blueprints.
- Effective communication skills.
- Strong leadership skills.
