Job Posting – Lead Pastor
Bethel Community Baptist Church, in Tucson, Arizona, is seeking a full-time Lead Pastor.
We are a family of followers of Christ with over 70 years of rich history. We are uniquely multi-ethnic and multi-generational, relative to the size of our congregation. We embrace and celebrate our ethnic and generational diversity, and challenge Baptist stereotypes. Despite our differences, we remain united in our unwavering belief in the Biblical foundation of the Word of God. We are looking for someone who will lead us into the next chapter of God’s plan.
Our worship is a blend of traditional and contemporary. Our location affords us a multitude of growth opportunities; we are located 5 minutes from the University of Arizona and from downtown Tucson.
The ideal candidate will:
- Display his love for Jesus and for the Church by maintaining pastoral qualifications listed in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1
- Be an effective teacher by utilizing strengths in both Biblical fluency and interpersonal communication skills
- Look to expand Bethel and its impact by fostering growth within the church, as well as in the neighborhood and community through outreaches and events
- Be proficient in, or willing to learn, social media and technology skills
