Lead School Age Teacher Job at Sunshine Early Learning Childcare Center
We are an education driven, early childhood organization with 3 locations within walking distance of each other in Downtown Milwaukie. Two of those locations serve ages 6 weeks to 12 year olds: 1) Sunshine Early Learning Center located on SE 21st Ave and 2) Sugarplums Early Learning Center located on Harrison Street.
We are looking for high-quality staff who value inclusivity, safe environments and intentional, play-based learning for all children in their care. Our Sugarplums and main Sunshine locations are currently hiring for strong School Age Teachers. These positions include aiding in AM and lunch breaks for staff members in other classrooms, then would run our School-Age program from 2-530pm.
Job Qualifications:
- Registered in the Oregon Central Background Registry
- All ‘Safety Set’ certifications to work in a licensed childcare facility (i.e. RRCAN, Food Handlers, CPR/First Aid, etc)
- Meets education or “Step” requirements. (At least a Step 7 in the Oregon Registry Online recommended)
- Graduated High School or GED
- At least ONE YEAR in a Certified Childcare Center, AND/OR at least ONE YEAR experience with Kindergartners through 5th graders. Ideally, both qualifications are true. (Must be able to be verified by previous employer.)
