LEGAL ASSISTANT (Midtown Sacramento)

Well established boutique law firm in midtown Sacramento is seeking a full-time Legal Assistant to work Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:30pm. This position also will serve as the receptionist for the firm and will provide clerical support to the attorneys. Competitive salary and excellent benefits DOE.

The successful candidate is punctual, reliable, detail oriented, and takes pride in maintaining a well-organized and professional work environment.

Required Skills and Abilities Include:

  • Exceptional telephone etiquette with a professional and pleasant manner
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proven ability with MS Office applications
  • Ability to complete assignments accurately, independently, and multi-task under pressure

Responsibilities and Daily Tasks Include:

  • Interface with clients and guests
  • Answering phones
  • Maintaining attorney calendars, ticklers and scheduling meetings
  • Performing substantial filing and maintaining accurate client files
  • Copying, scanning, faxing and emailing
  • Proof reading and finalizing documents
  • Preparing conference rooms for meetings
  • Library updates
  • Managing closed files; including retrieving and filing off-site
  • Deliver and/or pick-up documents from office locations downtown, including court filings (reliable transportation is required)
  • Processing daily mail
