Position Summary:
IEM is looking for a Full Time – Liaison Officer to join our growing team!

Primary Location:
  • Candidates can originate from anywhere in the United States, you will work remotely from home or personal office location
  • All remote work environments require the ability to maintain minimum Internet speeds of 25 Mbps upload and 3 Mbps download, as well as a ping rate of 100 ms or less during working hours, regardless of the type and number of devices using your Internet connection. You must also have account privileges and access to your Internet service provider account during working hours for the purposes of maintaining the Internet connection, if needed.

Essential Functions:
  • Provides oversight of all inquiries received from legislative offices and client's Legislative Affairs Director, including status update inquiries, complaints, and other issues, and works across program team to provide clear updates back to client
  • Conducts proactive reviews of ongoing legislative inquiries on Escalation tracker, reviewing tracker daily, both independently and together with the Escalation team, to identify cases that need additional movement and status updates
  • Coordinates across program teams as needed on next steps needed on legislative files, following up regularly with these teams to ensure next steps are taken and to work through barriers to progress on files
  • Enters clear and concise updates on escalation tracker for legislative inquiries and other escalated or aged cases, as needed
  • Coordinates with client's Legislative Affairs Director directly, including holding regular meetings to ensure that automated updates are sent directly from tracker and received regularly, and that the information is clear and helpful, as well as to troubleshoot any specific constituent issues
  • Coordinates with Constituent Services/Outreach team on legislative issues that also may wish to file a complaint or express intent to speak to media outlets
  • Coordinates with Constituent Services and Case Management teams on providing updates to applicants
  • Notifies and works closely with client's Legislative Affairs Director when legislative offices reach out directly to program's internal teams
  • Coordinates with Policy team on complex cases and on official complaint response drafts to share with client for review before submission
  • Develops and maintains excellent working relationships, internally and externally

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • An understanding of communicating with legislative offices and the legislative/political landscape, particularly in the state of Pennsylvania
  • A working knowledge of tracking and reporting tools such as Excel and SmartSheets
  • Knowledge of the mortgage and banking industries a plus, but not required


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • 3-6 years of constituent services, legislative engagement, stakeholder engagement, public outreach, project management, and/or client facing consulting experience
  • Self-starter who initiates and drives projects with the ability to contribute individually and participate in cross-functional teams
  • Able to manage and drive multiple projects with competing deadlines, project management experience a plus
  • De-escalation and conflict management skills
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Organizational skills and detailed oriented with a keen ability to multi-task
  • Proficiency working on a PC platform and with MS Office - Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
  • SmartSheets experience a plus
