Job Summary
Under the direction of the Aquatic Director, Concessions Staff will serve to facilitate an excellent aquatic experience for customers at the Wetlands Waterpark by assisting with all duties related to the Concession Stand. Job Duties and Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Aquatic Director, performs a variety of routine duties related to Patron safety and Concession Stand operations.
A. Observe and enforce pool rules and regulations at all times.
B. Refuse admission to the pool for the following reasons and/or refers the situation to the Aquatic Director when necessary:
~ Persons under the influence of drugs or alcohol
~ Persons barred from the pool
~ Persons with skin diseases, skin rashes or infectious diseases.
~ Children 7 years or under with no parent or guardian.
C. Must wear issued staff attire at all times.
D. Reports to work prior to the pool"s opening time to get office and cash drawer organized.
E. Attends to the pool window by taking daily and pool pass fees.
F. Keeps the cash drawer organized and orderly throughout the day.
G. Assists in balancing the cash drawer at closing.
H. Answers the phone in a professional manner.
I. Provides excellent customer service, answering questions and providing information as needed.
J. Attends staff meetings as required.
K. Makes public announcements as required.
L. Takes care of lost and found items.
M. Assists in identifying clothing and attire that is inappropriate for the pool. Ensures that swimming suits are suitable for use on the slides by identifying buttons, metal clasps, etc. that need to be removed.
N. Ensures the pool office is clean, neat, and orderly.
O. Be familiar with and participate in emergency action plans as needed.
P. Reports needed materials and supplies to supervisor.
Q. Other duties as assigned by the Aquatic Director. Qualifications
Qualifications:
A. Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
B. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with governing body, city administrator, department heads, employees, and the public.
C. Make decisions quickly in order to respond to potential hazards or emergency situations.
D. Work in a team composed of other Lifeguards, Head Guards, and Managers
E. Must be 15 years old
F. Valid Kansas driver"s license required. Education/Experience
Education/Experience - No previous experience required. Working Conditions
Working Conditions:
Functions will be performed in an environment that may cause exposure to sun and chemical substances such as chlorine. Work is primarily outside. Work is occasionally heavy and may involve physical activity such as lifting, pulling, pushing, carrying, and involves handling, seeing, hearing, listening, and talking. Must possess an audible voice for communication.
