  • Understands use and procedures of kitchen printed ticket processes & standards.
  • Ensures ticket times and accuracy of all food orders including substitutions.
  • Follows all food safety standards when Guest Allergy is notated on tickets.
  • Preparation of guest orders, entrees, sides and other items:
  • Collecting/assembly of food items to ensure guest receives correct order.
  • Following and in-compliance with all Food Safety practices.
  • Following and in-compliance with all Personal Hygiene and food safety hygiene practices.
  • Understands use & procedures of order guides, inventory sheets & PARS.
  • Menu & Recipe knowledge
  • To ensure accuracy and speed of service of all menu items.
  • To understand and explain taste profile and quality.
  • Stocking station;
  • Food ingredients.
  • Dry goods and supplies.
  • Cleaning supplies.
  • Smallwares, storage containers
  • Any other items for special menu promotions.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing inside station area.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing all cooking equipment.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing all storage containers, Smallwares in 3 compartment sink or dishwasher.
  • Includes all makeup table storage containers shift rotation, cleaning and restocking.
  • Adhering to all food safety standards in setup and breakdown of 3 compartment sink.
  • Cleaning; sweeping, scrubbing and mopping of all station floors.
  • Cleaning of weekly deep cleaning tasks.
  • Includes removing hood filters to clean individual filters and inside hood assembly unit.
  • Use of ladder is required during this cleaning process.
  • Use proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for all cleaning and trash removal.
  • Use of rubber gloves or disposable gloves is required when cleaning and/or trash collection.
  • Disposable gloves must be discarded after each use.
  • Wash hands thoroughly prior to returning to your workstation or other task.
  • Rubber gloves must be washed with soap and water after each use and allowed to air dry.
  • Wash hands thoroughly prior to returning to your workstation or other task.
  • Conduct opening duties to prepare station for opening (shift readiness).
  • Midday/Side work duties to maintain appearance and sanitation standards of station(s).
  • Closing duties to prepare station for next day.
  • Assist with cleaning, sanitation, organization and maintenance of kitchen refrigeration units, walk-in coolers, common area storage areas, and food storage areas adhering to proper food handling and storage standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management staff.
  • Informing management of any and all concerns with product quality, ingredient shortages or equipment issues creating barriers in providing great product quality to our guests.
  • Report workplace injuries as soon as reasonably responsible, but in no event later than leaving the workplace or within 8 hours.

Supervisory responsibilities

  • No direct reports.

Work environment

  • Primary work environment is in a cooking station with multiple heating & cooking appliances. Temperatures range from 70F-80F;
  • Below 40F while working in walk-in refrigeration.
  • Noise level can be loud at times due to crowds, kitchen equipment and music.

Physical demands

  • Lift and/or move up to approximately 50 pounds frequently.
  • Bending/stooping/kneeling required – frequently.
  • Climbing ladders – occasionally.
  • Routine standing for duration of shift (up to 8 hours).
  • Ability to work varied hours and days including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.

Position type and expected hours of work

  • Part time to 32 hours/week or more, working shifts as early as 5:00 AM working shifts as late as 4:00pm, schedule work shifts from 4- 8 hours, with occasional meeting/training shifts of 2 hours.
  • Due to unexpected business demands overtime (shifts greater than 8 hours) may be required.
  • Working hours can be included weekends and holidays.

Required education and experience

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Generally, 1+ years of cooking experience
  • Demonstrated kitchen skills; production, cooking, cleaning and organization. Ability to multi-task with multiple orders of varying food products.
  • Must have an aptitude and enthusiasm to learn about brand products available to our guest.

Preferred education and experience

  • Additional education and cooking, production and kitchen experience.

Additional eligibility qualifications

  • Food Safety Training to meet local regulations.
