Job Title: Logistics Subject Matter Expert (SME), U.S. Army Command Maintenance Evaluation and Training (COMET) Program

Job Description:

The COMET program is an activity of the United States Army Forces Command (FORSCOM) Deputy Chief of Staff, G-4 to establish teams that serve FORSCOM organizations with logistics expertise and logistics training to improve Soldier forces and capabilities in support of the National Security and Defense Strategies and sustainment of unit combat readiness. COMET Logistics Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) perform assessments and training of Army Leaders and Soldiers to provide quality assurance and advice in the areas of maintenance and supply.

Minimum Qualifications:

Secret Clearance may be required. At a minimum, candidate must pass a background check to access Army installations.

Subject Matter Experts (SME) (Contractor personnel) must possess five years’ experience in the discipline they provide support. To include the following functional areas:

• The Army Maintenance Management System
• The Army Materiel Maintenance Policy
• Supply Policy Below the National Level
• Using Unit Supply Systems
• Physical Security
• Environmental Programs

Proficiency in some or all of the following Logistics Information Systems:

• Standard Army Maintenance System-Enhanced (SAMS-E) Global Combat Support System – Army (GCSS-ARMY)
• Decision Support Tool (DST)
• Standard Army Retail Supply System (SARSS)
• Standard Army Ammunition System Modernization (SASMOD)
• Theater Operations Automated Movement and Identification Solutions (TC-AIMS)
• Very Small Aperture Terminal (V-SAT)
• Materiel Common Operating Picture (M-COP)

Must provide a signed DD Form 3150 to confirm COVID-19 vaccination status and provide proof of vaccination.
