JOB SUMMARY

The Logistics Supervisor receives, stores, and distributes materials, tools, equipment and products within the warehouse, and manufacturing facility ensuring inventory accuracy and timeliness of job functions. Maintains production and distribution of product by pulling and delivering to work stations relevant material from inventory. Classifying material and preparing work orders for manufacturing projects based on production schedule. Inspecting and delivering received raw production materials and supplies, as well as staging and dispatching finished product. Participates in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new employees in the department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Responsible for coordinating and executing daily shipping and receiving activities.

· Unloads trucks and containers, visual inspection of, checking in, and distribution of received merchandise.

· Follows and enforces CTPAT protocols at all times.

· Monitors the actions of non-authorized personell in the warehouse storage area to prevent the un-autorized movement and/or taking of inventory.

· Read customer, shop, SAR, or shipping orders to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed and/or shipped.

· Support manufacturing personnel concerning material handling on-demand.

· Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to designated areas.

· File picklists, CTPAT checklists, other shipping documentation, tools or other stock items and distribute items to shipping, manufacturing or to other designated areas.

· Utilize forklift, pallet jacks, and overhead crane to move raw materials, parts, equipment, and shipments as directed.

· Receives credit-return material and supplies from production by verifying material ,part number, location and quantity; placing materials back in stock

· Reviews CRP (Capacity Resource Planning) and prepares work orders based on material due dates.

· Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method as designated by established protocols and/or the Manufacturing Manager.

· Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; in proper inventory location based on material type.

· Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on pick lists for welding and assembling departments and outgoing manufacturing shipments.

· Creating detailed packing lists of outgoing equipment projects and their supporting items.

· Documents product shipment by recording units shipped. Including photos of shipments.

· Assure all logistical employees are performing at an acceptable level and providing constructive feedback.

· Perform reviews of employees and communicate results in a professional manner.

· Time management and approval of all logistical employees, both daily time and PTO.

· Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections; making operator repairs.

· Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate methods.

· Perform daily warehouse maintenance, cleanliness and organization activities.

· Develop process where necessary to increase efficiency of daily shipping/receiving and manufacturing logisitical processes.

· Assist in counting of physical inventory.

· Run reports to ensure all shipments are dispatched on schedule.

· Run reports to ensure all internal logistical materials are picked and are properly distributed on time.

· Closely coordinator with existing 3PL partners, controlling costs and regularly searching for new cost savings solutions.

· Assign and direct the activities of other logistical employees.

· Motivate and coach team to maintain high moral and operational success.

· Provide technical expertise to the team.

· Create annual budget for daily operating expenses and improvements.

· Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly reports to Manufacturing Manager communicating KPIs such as employee performance, general department status.

· Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and training of department’s new employees.

· Provide ongoing training to department employees.

· May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

High school diploma or GED. At least 3 years’ experience in warehouse, shipping and receiving, and manufacturing logistics processes. Two years’ forklift and crane and rigging experience.

Person should have experience in analyzing Information, be deadline-oriented, able to time manage with a sense of urgency, and understand inventory control and data entry along with basic rigging knowledge.

Have proficiency and practical knowledge operating an ERP.

Preferred Education and Experience
5 years’ of prior warehouse and logistic coordination experience.

Pre-Hire: Ability to pass a drug test as it relates to the role, background check as it relates to the role, and completion of an I-9 form. HUBER is an E-Verify Employer.
