Benson-Inc is hiring a full time Low Voltage Fire Alarm Technician for our Install department.

Fire Alarm Technician, you will:

Build databases that contain multiple nodes in the system, make-up fire alarm control panels, troubleshoot opens, grounds, and shorts of field wiring, test all functions of the fire alarm systems, perform programming changes as necessary.

Perform pre-test and final inspections for elevator functions, smoke control functions, and other additional required functions of the fire alarm systems.

Skills and experience that drive success in this role:

• 2-10 years of similar experience
• Must be factory trained in fire alarm systems
• Working knowledge with Fire Alarm System Cabling and Device Trim
• Knowledge and understanding with other networked fire alarm systems such as EST, Notifier

Requirements:

• (4) years prior relevant work experience
• Able to carry and move tools and equipment up to 50-70 lbs
• Pass drug screening and background check.
• Have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Ability to travel to multiple job sites each day
• Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders multiples times a day
• High precision/ detail-oriented
• Ability to use a computer and read blueprints
• Decent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently, with little supervision
• Knowledge of fire systems and tools
