We are looking for a reliable LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) to care for our patients in a professional and considerate manner. LPN professionals should be caring and compassionate. At Arbor Oaks Healthcare and Rehab Center our mission is to provide the highest of quality care to our patients and the community that we serve. We prefer the LPN professionals must be first and foremost qualified and compassionate. The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing diverse basic care to those who need it while remaining patient and calm.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications
• Assessments of residents
• Documentation of daily activities
• Supervising C.N.A.s that are assigned to your hall
• Provide emotional and psychological support when needed
• Communicate with residents’ family or friends with anything that is going on medically with the resident
• In most situations, you will only be assigned to a particular area
• We have options for scheduling: You can work (2) 16 hour shifts and then an 8 hour shift (this way you only work 2 1/2 days per week) Or you can work 2p-10p (M-F). We also have weekend option with Baylor pay.

We are a fun, low-key, friendly environment with a lot of long term employees. This is a nursing home setting but it does not have the normal clinical feel of a nursing home. It is a homelike environment and we are committed to making everyone feel at home

Skills

• Proven experience as LPN or similar role
• Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team
• Understanding of Point Click Care (you will be trained)
• Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate and able to handle stress
• Successful completion of LPN license program is a must'
