LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) Job at Foundations Behavioral Health Hospital
Foundations Behavioral Health is hiring for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time day (7am – 7:30pm) position to support our Doylestown, PA campus. This position requires an every other weekend commitment.
This position qualifies for a $10,000 sign-on bonus!
Foundations Behavioral Health provides innovative behavioral health treatment and academic excellence to children, adolescents and young adults. Established in 1964, Foundations Behavioral Health provides treatment in a homelike environment located on a 12-acre campus in Bucks County, PA. Foundations provides a full continuum of care for children, adolescents, and young adults spanning hospitalization to outpatient and academic services.
Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, The LPN will deliver quality nursing care to children, and adolescents on our inpatient Autism Unit.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Conducts ongoing and individualized nursing care duties as assigned and as dictated by the patients condition in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols.
- Monitors for and reports change in patient physical or mental status.
- Collaborates with other team members in the development, implementation, and evaluation of an individualized plan of care.
- Administer patient medications as prescribed by physician.
- Provide education to patients on their prescribed medications, documenting this in the patient record.
- Transcription of medication orders in a timely, error free manner.

Job Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing Program
- Current Commonwealth of Pennsylvania LPN License
- Current CPR/AED certification. Previous experience in behavioral health preferred.
- Strong communication skills Excellent customer service and organization skills
- Highly effective listening skills
- In response to the current pandemic, Respiratory Fit testing is a requirement of the job.
