BASIC PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION
The Clerk, Loan Servicing Center supports all teams in the Loan Servicing Center by performing clerical and administrative tasks.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES: This position does the following in accordance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws / regulations and the Company’s policies, procedures and guidelines:
  • Support the Loan Servicing Center teams in providing exceptional service to KCC customers and dealers in a fast-paced, omnichannel call center environment.
  • Support the Late Stage Collections team in managing complex, late-stage accounts and processes including bankruptcy, legal, deceased, fraud, repossession, asset disposition and charge off.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and respect to promote a positive brand image and customer loyalty.
  • Contribute to a culture that is passionate about providing an exceptional customer experience.
  • Produce and mail correspondence to customers, dealers and vendors.
  • Complete required documentation to assign accounts to outside counsel and bankruptcy vendors.
  • Prepare documentation for the monthly charge off process.
  • Assist in the disposition of assets including setting up files, placing units for sale on the auction sites, sending appropriate correspondence, collecting payment for sold units, and placing accounts for deficiency collections.
  • Assist with facilitating the perfection, storage and release of titles, MSOs and UCC filings.
  • Document and submit vendor invoices for payment.
  • Assist Loan Servicing Center team members, other KCC departments, dealers and vendors in resolving issues as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least 3 years of customer service or collections experience; automated dialer experience is required.
  • Strong customer service and active listening skills to uncover stated and unstated needs.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to type 40+ words per minute.
  • Basic knowledge of collection technique and Fair Debt Collection Practices Act procedures is preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Typical call center environment.
