We have an opening for an experienced sales and service manager for a Lube and Auto Repair automotive center in Round Rock, Texas.

The shop offers complete auto care to its customers. it has pitted bays for quick oil changes as well as mechanical bays that encompass diagnostics, repair, alignments and tires. Having the understanding that we are BOTH a fast lube business AND a mechanical repair business is important. Lube and Inspection services must be handled in a timely manner while the customer is waiting and should be accompanied by additional recommended needed services to meet sales goals. Auto repair services include a variety of jobs from small repair jobs, such as brake changes, which should be completed within a reasonably short wait time to the customer, to larger mechanical repair jobs that require more scheduling and time consideration.

We are looking for a manager that has a proven experience with a similar automotive business model.

Candidate must:
  • Have enough experience in the industry in dealing with lube (oil change) centers.
  • Experienced with making auto repair diagnosis and preparing estimates/work orders.
  • Demonstrate the ability to set and achieve performance goals for the shop as a whole and individually.
  • Must be well capable of using soft sales techniques and communicate/offer additional services to customers.
  • Must be customer-oriented, understand customer follow-up and retention techniques, and be able to explain to customers any needed or recommended services.
  • Be a licensed State Inspector or willing and able to obtain this license.
  • Have basic lube and tech skill sets, including the ability to perform lube services-oil changes, flushes, pit work, hood checks, tire rotations, etc.
  • Be comfortable communicating with the shop techs.
  • Be able to sell recommended services.

Additional required skills include:
  • Auto mechanic skills, including diagnostics.
  • Take the initiative to meet shop sales goals.
  • Manage and motivate employees.
  • Work well under pressure.
  • Resolve customer complaints and employee issues in a professional manner.
