SCHEDULE: BOTH DAY SHIFT (5:00AM - 5:00PM) AND NIGHT SHIFT (5:00PM - 5:00AM) SCHEDULES AVAILABLE. ALL CANDIDATES MUST HAVE THE AVAILABILITY TO WORK WEEKENDS AND 15-20 HOUR OF OVERTIME PER WEEK.

$2 SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL OFFERED FOR THE NIGHT SHIFT.

TOP SKILLS REQUIRED:

- PREVIOUS CNC MACHINING EXPERIENCE (HARD REQUIREMENT - ENSURE THIS IS CLEARLY SHOWN ON ALL RESUMES)

- MUST HAVE PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE IN HEAVY LABOR POSITIONS

- MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE OPERATING POWER TOOLS, GRINDERS, ETC.

- PREVIOUS FORKLIFT AND OVERHEAD CRANE EXPERIENCE

- COMFORTABILITY WORKING AT HEIGHTS

- MUST HAVE PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE CLEANING AND DEBURRING PARTS

JOB SUMMARY: Set up and operate all equipment required to turn, broach and balance impellors.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Read and comprehend blueprint on work piece.

- Make setups and adjustments to assure proper alignment of parts.

- Lift, position and secure work piece as needed to turn or balance.

- Make manual adjustments by grinding or drilling.

- Check and inspect work for conformity to specifications using precision measuring instruments.

- Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.

- Assist in a variety of functions with manual labor tasks as needed.

- Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

- Work under immediate supervision.

- Perform other work related tasks as assigned.

- Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.

FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Safely operate air powered tools, i.e.: die grinders, right angle grinders, air drills etc.

- Clean, polish, and remove burrs from manufactured parts

- Clean and Gauge threads

- Blend blemishes/imperfections while maintaining tolerance/finish requirements

- Safely operate forklift and overhead cranes

- Able to work in tight spaces and from heights when required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

- High school diploma or GED preferred.

- Prior machine shop experience working in Deburr, grinding, buffing, and blending finish machines parts.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Willing to work overtime and weekends when needed, sometimes on short notice.

- Very good housekeeping skills.

- Strong work Ethics, can work alone, and in a team.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:

- Able to read and understand blueprints, drawings, sketches, and bills of material

- Read and follow shop routers and work instructions

- Use inspection gauges to ensure quality parts, i.e., caliper, micrometer, profilometer etc.

- Operate radial arm drill press

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
