Job Title: Machine Operator, hourly rate $27/hr to $35/hr depending upon experience.

Position Summary: Machine Operator will operate machine tools to fabricate and manufacture machine parts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

· Operates fabrication machinery to produce parts used in manufacturing processes.

· Knowledge of following machinery is helpful:

CNC Machinery Citizen Mori-Seike

HAAS Laithe HAAS Mills Okuma Dooson Puma

· Reads and interpret blueprints and design sketches to ensure proper dimensions and specifications for parts.

· Selects cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials to be used on the machine.

· Examines and measures completed units and parts to identify any defects and ensure units conform with predetermined specifications; adjusts machine controls to resolve production errors.

· Inspects machinery for any needed repairs; performs minor repairs within expertise.

· Maintains cleanliness and safety of work area.

· Complies with applicable safety standards and regulations.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Ability to operate various types of machine tools to perform progressive machining.

· Ability to read blueprints and plans.

· Excellent mechanical skills.

· Excellent time management skills.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Education/Experience:

High School or equivalent and one to two years related experience and/or training.

Language Ability:

Bi-lingual Spanish/English preferred but not required.

Machinery:

Experience with Haas: Mills & Lathes; Citizen, and Mori-Seiki preferred not required.
