We are seeking an enthusiastic Aerospace Machinist to join our client's team in Windsor, CT for a 6:30am-3pm shift.
Job Summary/Functions:
- Set up and perform a normal range of operations on conventional and special purpose machines, turning machines, and various types of machine tools to repair aircraft parts
- Use of some judgment to comply with methods and instructions making minor decisions
- Physical Demand: moderate physical demand frequently lifting or moving average weight material
- Mental or Visual Demand: continuous mental and visual attention; usually repetitive work or diversified operations requiring constant alertness or activity
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operate horizontal and manual vertical lathes, milling and grinding machines, VTL's, Jig Bores, Bridgeports, rubber grinding, Prototrack, drill presses and other special shop equipment for repair of parts
- Work from process travelers, blueprints, parts drawings, manuals, specifications and verbal directions to determine proper dimensions and tolerances of finished part sequence of operation, and setup requirements
- Measure mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on material
Skills/Knowledge/Ingenuity:
- Use of addition, subtraction, multiplication and the division of numbers including decimals fractions; simple use of formulas and specifications, where interpretation is required involving basic skill knowledge
- Must be able to communicate, read, and write in English
- Must be able to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to work effectively individually or as part of a team
Working Conditions:
- Good shop working conditions. Exposed to any number of elements, but none present to the extent of being disagreeable.

Qualifications:
- 2-3 years minimum machining experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
