We are currently seeking an individual for the Machinist position in our Newark, CA location. The potential candidates for this role must be a proven Machinist who will setup jobs as instructed per shop order, print, and/or customer specification, and operate machinery will have responsibilities that include but are not limited to:

  • Operating hand, power, and calibrated tools and equipment.
  • Working with various types of fixturing, tooling, etc.
  • Reporting non-conformities to the Supervisor.
  • Reading, understanding, and mastering g-code programs.
  • Uploading programs.
  • Setting up tools.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Performs other related duties and directions.

Successful Candidate Must Have Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 6 months related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 7 years CNC Machine shop experience working on CNC horizontal and vertical machining centers
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, or other related fields a must
  • MUST have small part assembly experience
  • Familiarity with assembly tools and equipment
  • Ability to handle physical workload
  • Ability to work well in teams
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have the knowledge and experience necessary for the position.
  • Must be able to follow instructions and procedures and work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be capable of reading drawings and inspecting the work being performed.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
