Machinist’s in Plymouth, MN | $20.00/Hour
Our Machinist’s workweek is M-F, 8.5 hour shifts starting at 5am, 6am & 7am, or M-Th, 5am - 3:30pm (To be worked out with the client)
This job is a Production type position that that pays $20.00/Hour and is a Temp-to-hire opportunity.
Machinist Duties and Responsibilities –
1. Responsible for quality of work performed in machine shop area. Accountable for fabrication and layout on a variety of parts or products involving close tolerances. Must set up and operate all machine shop machines to cut-bend, machine, or form parts. Uses a variety of machine shop hand tools and measuring instruments.
2. Assist Group Lead in all functions of the machine shop including work flow and process improvement. Performs all job assignments as instructed by the Plant Manager and/or Group Lead.
3. Responsible for keeping both machinery and plant area in good working order, including cleaning and maintenance of machine shop equipment and all tools involved in daily production.
4. Responsible for good housekeeping practices in the Fabrication area.
5. Abides by all policies, procedures, and guidelines of the company including good common sense safety practices.
6. Performs all job assignments as instructed by the Group Lead, Assistant Plant Manager and/or Vice President.
Machinist Requirements and Qualifications –
- Good communication skills and ability to work with others
- Ability to multitask
- Have a high attention to detail
- Ability to solve problems as they arise
- Good dexterity using hands
- Previous experience in CNC/Machine Operation
