Description of Position

Maintains communication with Mail Order Pharmacy patients, providers, third party providers and co-pay assistance programs to assure prescriptions are being filled and delivered correctly in a timely manner. Tasks and Responsibilities

• Communicates daily with patients to make refill reminders, referring any medication or illness related questions or concerns to a registered pharmacist.
• Stay up-to-date with all co-pay assistance programs and offer them to patients when appropriate.
• Assists pharmacist in updating patient profile and entering prescription information into the pharmacy computer system. Preserves patient confidentiality.
• Processes checks, credit and debit charges. Works with Quickbooks to maintain patient invoices.
• Prepares third-party insurance claims, processes invoices, and makes accounting entries using computerized system.
• Orders, receives, tags, and stocks prescription drugs and supplies. Reconciles inventory. Follows product storage procedures and standards.
• Ships completed prescription to patients. Stocks and maintains the supplies for the shipping station.
• Completes weekly shipping reports
• Cleans department by sweeping, mopping, spraying, wiping, and dusting. Empties trash, operates trash compactor and cardboard baler.
• Assists in the other mail order departments as necessary as directed by management.

Required Skills, Abilities, and Certifications

• Education/Training: High School or GED preferred
• Licenses/Certifications: National Certification within 6 months of hire and Indiana State Licensed as a Pharmacy Technician required.
• Experience: Pharmacy experience required
• Knowledge/Skills: Computer, math, and customer service skills required.

Must be flexible with scheduling including holidays/weekends, team player, strong customer service skills, able to master and navigate multiple pharmacy computer programs simultaneously

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.50 - $29.30 per hour
