We are currently looking for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic with mechanical aptitude to join our Maintenance department. The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible in assisting in installing, repairing, and maintaining commercial or industrial machinery in a manufacturing setting. The mechanic will ensure all machines function properly through troubleshooting and preventative maintenance service. This person should demonstrate excellent quality, production, teamwork, and safety awareness.

The Maintenance Mechanic will have several Roles and Responsibilities including, but not limited to the following:

• Requires the maintenance of machinery, factory, and grounds
• Machinery maintenance includes all mechanical and electrical systems
• Factory and grounds maintenance includes general electrical, plumbing, and structure repairs and maintenance
• MUST HAVE EXTENSIVE FACILITY AND LARGE PRESSES ELECTRICAL
• Works from maintenance work orders, communicated with order originator and makes necessary repairs in a safe, acceptable, and timely manner
• Ability to troubleshoot systems and machines, and remove, repair, or replace any or all components necessary to restore to operational status
• Knowledge and ability must be applied in objective priorities, safety, timely, and economically
• Requires general knowledge and ability for factory and grounds maintenance to include plumbing, gas, water, electrical, and structural
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, Press Brake, Brake Press, CNC, welding, and other sheet metal fabrication machines
• Necessary to know, understand, and perform shop theory, applicable specifications, codes, and ordinances
• Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests
• Must perform all work in accordance with all applicable safety procedures
• Assist in other areas of need based on Supervisor/Manager discretion
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Required Skills and Abilities:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Five years’ experience of related experience in Maintenance and/or Facilities
• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty efficiently, safely and in an acceptable manner
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; follow written and/or verbal orders; read, write, speak, and comprehend English
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Capacity to apply understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
• Understand fundamentals of material flow through production floor
• Working knowledge of tools and machinery desired
• The ability and desire to work overtime is required
• Regularly lift and/or move objects 20-25 lbs.; occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs.
• Able to withstand temperatures in a typical warehouse environment
