Apple Foods, one of North America's largest pie producers, is currently hiring for a Maintenance Supervisor.
The Maintenance Supervisor is an integral part of our maintenance team providing direction to in-house maintenancepersonnel and helping coordinate work done by the maintenance team. The Maintenance Supervisor helps to ensure all equipment is maintained for maximum life and effective production whiel adhering to all GMP's.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Maintenance Manager in overseeing maintenance and repair jobs in the bakery including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, production equipment, refrigeration and building repairs and maintenance.
- Assist in scheduling repairs, maintenance and preventative maintenance in bakery by both in-house maintenance team and outside contractors. Ensure all outside service work is completed properly, at reasonable cost and in a timely manner.
- Assist in troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of all production equipment and machinery.
- Ensure safe, reliable and effective operation of all bakery and production equipment that extens equipment life.
- Assist, when necessary, in preparing for and rectifying issues for SQF, HACCP, OSHA and Health Department inspections.
- Assist Maintenance Manager with records of all repairs and preventative maintenance performed and associated costs for all equipment. Maintain complete parts inventory.
- Oversee installation of new equipment and training in use of cleaning equipment as required.
- Assist in overseeing maintenance of the bakery shop, ensuring it is clean and organized and that all necessary parts are in house at the appropriate inventory level.
- Troubleshoot machine electrical components including PLC's, Logic, DC drivers, motors and VFD's.
- Perform electrical maintenance functions, follow procedures to ensure manufacturing equipment operates at peak efficiency, and promote safe operation of manufacturing and work areas.
- Understand and practice Lock Out Tag Out procedures, and identify potential safety hazards on production equipment in work area.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years maintenance experience with strong background in mechanical, electrical and control automation. Associate's or bachelor's degree in related field, or technical/vocational training highly desired.
- Working knowledge of CMMS (or similar) including planning, scheduling and purchasing functions.
- Must posses MN Special Engineer Boiler license, MN Class 2B Boiler license a plus.
- Class A Journeyman Electrician license a huge plus.
- Ammonia Refrigeration certification and familiarity with PSM program requirements highly desired.
- Ability to understand and execute regulatory procedures and guidelines.
- Ability to multitask, work both independently and in a team setting, and ability to work in fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work in both hot and cold temperature fluctuations.
- Ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds.
