Maple Crest Health Center, a part of American Baptist Homes of the Midwest is hiring for a full-time Maintenance Tech. The full-time Maintenance Tech schedule is from 8:30am-4:30pm with a Saturday rotation.

What We Need From You

As a Maintenance Tech, you'll inspect, maintain and performs preventive, basic repair work and audit equipment systems. Maintains cleanliness of property grounds, sidewalks, driveways and parking lots; groundskeeper duties include mowing, trim bushes, and general gardening. Comply with all safety procedures and maintain safety of work areas. Assists with audits and routine fire drills. Other duties as assigned. You feel great knowing you do meaningful work helping residents and their families!

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years work or trade experience in plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, refrigeration required. Plant operations, hospital, nursing home or other healthcare setting preferred.
• Able to physically assist residents throughout the day; must have excellent customer service and organizational skills.
• Ability to demonstrate positive attitude, patience, emotional maturity to effectively communicate and interact with residents, families and co-workers.
• Must comply with CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid) directive which requires proof of full Covid 19 Vaccination prior to start date or request a exemption, and if approved, wear proper PPE while on duty as per policy.
