About the Maintenance Technician position

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to help us perform preventative maintenance and repairs on production machinery/equipment and building equipment. You will need to maintain a clean and orderly operating environment and be able to provide your own basic tools.

You should be reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards, as well as willingness to learn and improve. We also expect you to be a good team player.

Maintenance Technician responsibilities are:

• Perform preventative maintenance on production machinery and equipment following company quality procedures.

• Perform preventative maintenance on building and building equipment, maintaining a clean and orderly operational condition.

• Perform general plant maintenance and upkeep of all plant support systems, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical.

• Troubleshoot electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical machine operations ranging from relay-type controls to computer controls.

• Repair machinery, equipment, and/or building equipment.

• Maintain documentation of all preventative maintenance in accordance with company procedures.

• Assist with performing maintenance duties to provide safe walkways during winter months.

• Assist with performing custodial duties during the absence of the custodian.

• Help meet or exceed department and company goals.

• Adhere to health and safety regulations.

• Perform all other tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

Maintenance Technician requirements are:

• 2+ years of experience with machinery maintenance and repair.

• Knowledge of injection molding machines and equipment, tool room machinery, and warehouse equipment.

• Knowledge of building and grounds maintenance.

• Ability to perform basic carpentry, electrical, plumbing, heating, and air cooling systems, electronics maintenance and repairs, and troubleshoot problems.

• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

• Physical requirements: Standing, bending, walking, pulling and pushing over extended periods in a manufacturing environment involving noise, dust, etc. Lifting up to 50 lbs.
