OVERVIEW

The primary purpose of the maintenance technician is to perform a variety of duties including the installation, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of production and facility equipment to support a lean and efficient manufacturing operation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Conduct preventative maintenance on plant production equipment, support systems, and emergency repair as required.
• Operate shop equipment.
• Perform a variety of pluming, electrical, and carpentry duties as needed.
• Operate hand and power tools, measuring devices, and material handling equipment.
• Conduct regular lean activities to ensure a efficient work environment.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, oftentimes generated from a non U.S. company.

EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES

• 7 years of maintenance work desired
• Able to sit, stand, walk or climb as required.
• Knowledge on how to operate manual and power equipment.

KNOWLEDGE

• Hydraulic and pneumatic air systems.
• Electrical and electronic repairs.
• Understanding of all plant production equipment.
• Understanding of all building support systems.
• Lathes, surface grinders, drill presses, milling machines, power and manual hand tools.
• Lean principals.
• Understanding of safe work practices.
  

EDUCATION

• High school diploma required.
• Associate's degree or higher preferred.
• MS Office software.
