TITLE: MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

This is a hands-on position with the potential of working at several locations in Medway. The ideal candidate must be skilled in all areas of general maintenance and must be able to perform physical maintenance operations of the property.

REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF FACILITIES

Primary Duties to Include:

• Ensuring work order requests and repairs are made correctly in a timely manner
• Electrical repairs (light bulbs & ballasts)
• Plumbing knowledge is a must
• Locks & hardware replacement/repair
• Painting & Cleaning/Misc labor repairs
• General mechanical repairs & preventative maintenance.

Qualifications:

• Experience with school maintenance required (5+ years preferred)
• Mechanical skills needed: electrical, plumbing, general repair

Requirements:

• Must be able to provide a detailed work history
• Must be able to provide work references, at the time of interview, from managers/supervisors that can be reached by telephone
• Must be knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use of hand tools and small power tools
• Must live within 30-45 minutes of Medway, MA
• Must be reliable, punctual, able to organize own time, troubleshoot maintenance and mechanical issues, deal professionally with staff and students, recognize potential problems and maintenance needs, and work with both urgency and attention to detail.
• Must have the ability to handle emergency and pressure sensitive situations.
• Must be able to arrive early or stay later for property snow removal.
• Must be available for any Emergency Response outside of posted hours as needed.
