Maintenance Technician Job at StarPoint Properties, LLC
Overview:
As the Maintenance Technician this role is responsible for creating and maintaining the quality of the property and living environment that promotes StarPoint Properties as best in class and customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain inventory of equipment, supplies, tools and other property/company owned equipment.
- Complete plumbing related tasks such as leaky faucets, plunging toilets, repair tanks, caulking, and replacement when necessary.
- When the need arises help with unit turns (painting, installations, drywall repairs, appliance replacement and so on to make the unit market ready)
- Complete electrical related tasks such as installing light fixtures and switches, cord splicing, ballasts and bulbs, circuit breakers, servicing exhaust fans, exterior lighting and other as needed.
- Complete carpentry related tasks such as fixing drywall, changing closet rods, replacing mirrors, installing drawer, replacing doors.
- Complete key tasks such as replacing locks, installing locks and bolts. Make keys and install latches.
- Complete routine preventative maintenance work on site for exterior, interior and units (such as appliances, HVAC filters and so on)
- Strong sense of customer service showcasing the company’s service excellence (courteousness, follow up on issues, caring about our tenants)
- Serve as the senior technician onsite responsible for completing complex tasks and troubleshooting along with other technicians as a training and development opportunity for them.
- May need to perform pool or other amenity maintenance. May also need to assist in light porter work to maintain property appearance.
- This position requires working a weekend day a week as well as after-hours on-call rotation.
- Highschool Diploma or GED; or a combination of certifications and experience
- 3+ years in property management or hospitality maintenance with increasing responsibilities.
- HVAC experience required
- EPA Type II or universal preferred
- Familiarity with OSHA standards and safety standards
- Must be able to lift/move/carry up to 50lbs when the need arises.
- Must have a valid driver’s license
