Title: Maintenance Technician III - 2nd Shift

Provides routine, scheduled, and periodic maintenance for office support and production support equipment to ensure proper functioning throughout facilities. Works with vendors in the areas of routine contract compliance and regulatory inspections and tests for HVAC preventative maintenance, controlled clean area compliance, and computerized preventative maintenance tracking system

Responsibilities:

Provides maintenance for production support equipment including air compressors, chillers, air handlers, boilers, and humidifiers.

Understands, monitors, and operates the computerized control system for the controlled clean areas.

As Delegated - Understands and operates the computerized Preventative Maintenance Program. Distributes work orders to staff,and provides feedback to manager.

Provides maintenance of building support equipment including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and interior and exterior surfaces.

Provides maintenance for office support equipment and assists with office relocation.

Provides assistance to production staff with miscellaneous tasks as required.

This position is required to assure compliance of Company operations to all applicable laws, regulations and standards, good business practices and company documented procedures (including knowledge of all standards, government occupational health and environmental regulations and statutes related to the site).

Engage others, promote, and participate in Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives, focusing on continuous improvement.

Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Qaulifications, Skill and/or Competency Requirements:

Technical Knowledge and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3-5+ years of maintenance or construction experience is required
• Knowledge of office, production, and building equipment
• Knowledge of building trades and codes

Abilities

• Ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to determine the necessary methodology needed for desired results
• Ability to troubleshoot and provide accurate recommendations to the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor regarding facilities problems
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to operate power and hand tools
• Ability to lead groups and projects

Impact and Scope

• Potential errors include equipment shutdowns which may result in lost production time
• This position has access to sensitive information, including new office locations and layouts, and personnel transfers

Key Internal and External Relationships

• Works closely with the Facilities Maintenance Manager
• Provides services to company staff
• Works closely with outside contractors and service providers

Planning and Decision Making

• This position receives written work requests from various individuals and departments with specific time requirements
• This position schedules work to meet time constraints
• Work is constrained and guided by company policies, FDA regulations, building codes, and OSHA guidelines
• Work is checked by the Facilities Maintenance Manager
• General guidance on desired results is provided by Facilities Manager; the position independently determines methods for achieving these results
