Job Location and Hours:
175 Emery Highway, Macon, GA 31217 - 8:30 am-5:00 pm
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Completes work orders assigned to them promptly based on priority.
- Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door, or wall repair.
- Painting I staining both interior and exterior applications.
- Preventative maintenance as assigned.
- Maintain and keep a clean and organized maintenance shop and other work areas.
- Assist in the coverage of a 24/7 emergency cell phone with other team members.
- Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures.
- Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.
- Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers.
- Knowledge of general carpentry and repair.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- One plus year experience in facility maintenance or equivalent.
- Drywalling including painting.
- Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, including outlets, switches, and light fixtures.
- Interpersonal skills to interact with employees or residents of the building in a pleasant manner.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Related experience preferred.
- On-the-job training offered.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Fully COVID Vaccinated.
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward.
- Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at a time.
