Job Description
Perform typical maintenance tasks to maintain the facility in a safe and efficient manner, performs unskilled, semi-skilled, and skilled tasks as assigned, as involved in building and custodial maintenance Job Responsibilities
This is a full-time regular position, 40 hours per week M-F with rotating on call schedule, every fifth weekend or as needed.
Must have minimum 2 years" verifiable experience in general building maintenance.
Additional floor/carpet cleaning/maintenance and experience in one or more trades (Electrical, HVAC, Painting, etc.) is preferred.
Must be team oriented, willing to put others first, and the desire to work in a nursing home environment.
Valid NH Driver"s License required. Physical Requirements
Duties require a high school diploma, with experience, education and/or training in painting skills, maintenance, or any combination of education and experience, which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Possession
of, or the ability to obtain within the first six (6) months of hire (for those possessing an out of state
license) a valid State of NH Driver"s
License.
Knowledge of:
Methods of construction, maintenance, and repair related to the work assigned.
Skill to:
Use and operate in a safe and efficient manner, a variety of hand and power tools and equipment in routine situations.
Operate a scissor or aerial lift.
Ability to:
Perform semi-skilled and skilled construction, maintenance and repair in the work area assigned.
Perform basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and interior finishing work.
Read and interpret basic maps and blueprints.
Work independently in the absence of supervision.
Experience and Training Guidelines:
Any combination equivalent to experience and training that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities would be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills, and abilities would be:
Experience:
Two (2) years of increasingly responsible experience performing construction, painting and interior/exterior finishing, and maintenance and repair duties within the area of responsibility.
