Makeup Artist Job at Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure
Job Summary:
Provides makeup services to clients by performing basic and complex techniques that help them look their best. Must have reliable transportation and weekend / evening availability.
Essential Job Duties:
- Apply basic and complex makeup and lashes.
- Assist in removal of makeup and lashes.
- Understand visual and technical requirements and select the best products for each client.
- Clean and maintain makeup applicators, tools and salon stations.
- Adhere to an appointment schedule and keep the appropriate time for each session.
- Assist with maintaining appropriate inventory levels of backbar products and retail.
- Comply with health and safety standards.
Other Duties:
- Foster a team environment that creates and implements ideas to increase service, retail and gift certificate sales.
- Attend training and continuing education as required to ensure top quality customer service.
- Notify the Wellness Director of any incidents.
- Perform other job duties as required.
Education , Skills & Experience:
- Current Cosmetology or Esthetician license. Makeup artists must use airbrush foundation.
- Minimum of 20 photos representing your bridal hair and/or makeup work.
- Excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, drive and motivation.
- Strong time management abilities
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear and speak with others using clear and professional language.
- Must be able to endure long periods of sitting, standing or walking in a hot, humid environment.
- Will be occasionally required to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
- Must be able to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping and use hands and fingers to handle, or feel.
- Work environment may involve some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
