In operation for more than 50 years, University Radiology staffs, manages and provides preliminary and final subspecialty interpretations and consultative support for 10 affiliated regional healthcare centers and for our own 24 medical imaging centers. In addition, University Radiology serves as the academic radiology faculty at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Our physicians interpret over 1.8 million radiology procedures per year providing 24/7/365 coverage/interpretation services.

University Radiology is currently seeking a Mammography/Lung Screening Coordinator to work in our Warren, NJ Imaging Office.

Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm
Responsibilities:
  • Handles all cases from beginning to end on the Medinformatix Screening Orders list
  • Verifies the accuracy of the patient history entered into Magview
  • Coordinates all patient worksheets for the daily screening session with the radiologist
  • Hangs prior films for comparison
  • Verifies all prior images are in place for the radiologist, retrieves from Fuji if necessary
  • Creates the normal/abnormal reports in the Magview dictation system while assisting/supporting the radiologist as he/she batch reads a group of screening mammogram exams
  • Coordinates biopsy pathology: Search/obtain and interpret pathology reports by entering/correlating information into the Pathology tab in Magview
  • Interview Lung Screening patients and enter their history in the Lung Screening Module in Medinformatix, notify Referring physician if the patient does not qualify for the Lung Screening program
  • Be familiar with OSHA and HIPAA regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Minimum High School Diploma
  • Excellent computers skills with the ability to learn new systems and software
  • Medical terminology
