JOB SUMMARY:

The Management Trainee program is designed to recruit and develop future people and/or project leaders of Wacker Neuson. In this program, all Management Trainees are provided exposure to the entire organization through fast-paced rotations of short-term assignments within our Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Aftermarket & Finance departments. The rotations will consist of projects, activities and hands on training to facilitate learning. Trainees will have the opportunity to engage with senior leaders and other team members to receive extensive mentoring and training in all aspects of our business to prepare you for the next level.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Managerial Functions:


  • Critical thinking and problem solving to consistently and efficiently make reliable business decisions
  • Ensures an environment that promotes communication, collaboration and accountability with team members, cross functional departments and global colleagues
  • Leads by example and demonstrates the company's core values of expertise, passion, agility and entrepreneurship
  • Treats all levels of the organization with respect, honesty, and integrity while supporting diversity, inclusion, compliance, and safety of all employees

Leadership Functions:
  • Partners with management, supervisors and team members to gain knowledge of work situations to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives and technologies
  • Assists management with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results
  • Analyze information and convert related activities into a comprehensive work plan and make recommendations to management
  • Identify basic problems and procedural irregularities, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Learn each of our business operations and understand how each function supports our global strategy.

Project Management Functions:
  • Partners with Project Managers on providing oversight on all phases of assigned projects. May lead some projects independently
  • Coordinate and collaborate with multiple departments to ensure project specifications are being followed
  • Ensures projects are completed in a timely manner on schedule, within budget, and meets all technical and financial standards, regulatory compliance requirements and expectations
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives

Safety:
  • Ensure an overall safe workplace through continuous training
  • Performs all job functions is a safe manner and maintains safety awareness.
  • Reports known accidents, injuries and unsafe practices and/or conditions to manager.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • Recent graduate with a Master’s Degree or equivalent leadership experience
  • Demonstrated leadership experience within a student organization, volunteer projects or athletic team
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, verbal and written communication, time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent work ethic, self-motivated and ability and interest to assume advanced responsibility
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Travel domestically and globally with the ability to relocate domestically is required
  • Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office Suite
