Role Summary
As a Manager of Charging Incentives, you will play a pivotal role in acquiring grant and incentives funding for Rivian's charging networks. You and your team will develop relationships with key decision makers, apply for grants, track progress, and provide appropriate information needed to secure funding. You will work with cross functional partners to obtain information and provide reporting as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Lead all grant applications for Home and Waypoints (initial focus).
- Lead cross-functional management of grant application process from conception to completion (effectively program manager-like role).
- Hire a team of Analysts to develop opportunity pipeline.
- Manage Analyst as needed with incentives, rebates, and applications as well as the customer communication strategies for each
- Liaising with decision maker in the political sphere (externally facing).
- Work with Rivian policy team to prioritize and coordinate applications.
Qualifications
- Strong background knowledge of government affairs/policy landscape in the U.S. required.
- Four (4) year college or university degree or equivalent political science or related field required.
- 4+ years of policy or incentives related work.
- Familiar with working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to quickly communicate and prioritize competing needs of the business.
- Proficient knowledge of electric vehicles and electric vehicle charging technologies
- Exceptional project management skills and the ability to translate complex issues into straightforward communications.
- Ability to compile information and analyze data to drive decision making.
- Ability to communicate effectively and exercise judgment in disclosing or withholding confidential information.
- Some travel might be required per business needs.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
- At other times while performing duties of this job, the employee will work in a standard office environment.
- Salary Range for California Based Applicants: $163,000-188,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
- Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
Salary Range/Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants: [ $163,000 - 188,000 ] (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
