We are looking for a Manager, Devops and Software Engineering, to join our Neometrics Software Engineering team that includes a product portfolio of newborn care data management systems.

As a Manager for global direct reports, you will be part of the Neometrics Software Engineering leadership team within a matrixed software development organization supporting products with interconnected cloud components. You will need DevOps experience to manage activities that include leading a team in creating and supporting Azure Cloud platforms for Natus cloud-based products. Additional duties include managing the team in configuration, installation and support of in-house and customer hosted servers.
Location: The position may be based out of our Hauppauge, NY site or 90% Remote in USA with 10% travel
Main Responsibilities
Software Engineering
- Exhibit and cultivate a continuous improvement mindset in areas of people, product and process
- Hire, mentor and coach employees to develop a best-in-class software development team
- Provide technical and functional leadership to the software development team
- Demonstrate ownership culture ensuring that the team develops software solutions that fulfill customer requirements with best-in-class quality
DevOps
- Manage project(s) across your team and work with them to resolve challenging DevOps architecture, design and/or implementation issues
- Hire, mentor, and coach employees to develop a best-in-class team for building robust, highly available applications hosted primarily in Azure. Applications include web-based and client-server based using Oracle and SQL Server database systems.
General
- Champion and facilitate improvement initiatives within your group and across the organization
- Build relationships across departments to facilitate collaboration and influence improvement initiatives within the product and within processes to drive business performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional stake holders such as R&D, Marketing, QA/RA, Service, Manufacturing, PMO to ensure alignment on project scope, design documentation, quality and schedule
- Ensure adherence to healthcare community and security requirements associated with handling protected health information (PHI) and personally identifiable information (PII)
- Travel: up to 10% domestic or international travel on project need basis
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar from a four-year college or university and 8 years’ software development experience needed in a heavily regulated industry. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Minimum 3+ years’ demonstrated global leadership experience driving projects to completion and 5 years’ related DevOps experience
- Cloud development experience in Azure Cloud and web related technologies (such as Angular, Blazor, or JavaScript, etc.)
- Development experience with Microsoft related tools and technologies (such as C#, .NET)
- In-depth knowledge of Agile and Waterfall
- Excellent software engineering knowledge in areas of requirements, design and architecture best practices
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrated success in managing relationships across cross-functional groups (for example, R&D, Marketing, QA/RA, Service and Manufacturing)
- Desirable but not required: PMP, PMI-ACP, CMQ/OE, CSM or similar
- Desirable but not required: Experience with Citrix environments for client-server-based applications

Natus offers competitive salaries, comprehensive benefit package that starts on your 1st day, 401k match, 9 paid holidays, generous paid time off plan (4 weeks to start) and tuition reimbursement up to $5,000 annually. The salary range is 125,000 – 165,000 USD to start Based on Experience/Regional Cost of Living and 12% Bonus Structure.
