        The position plans, organizes, implements and coordinates a complex institutional program or grant proposal.
       
 
      
        Preferred Qualifications
       
 
       
         Prefer applicants with
          an awarded Master’s degree and experience:
        
        - Providing comprehensive academic, career and transfer planning services for international (F-1 visa) students from admission to completion of their academic program; and managing student information databases, including Colleague and Workday;
- Serving as a Designated School Official (DSO) with professional responsibilities for advising students on F-1, M-1 or J-1 visa types;
- Teaching in a U.S community college (or 4-year college/university setting);
- Communicating and applying student development concepts and theory in practice;
- Articulating the value and benefits of U.S. community college education;
- Sustaining long-term, positive professional relationships across cultures;
- Producing data-informed, work plans with measurable goals and objectives;
- Developing educational resources, including training workshops (virtual and in-person) for students, faculty and staff;
- Leveraging web-based technologies, including social networking sites;
- Speaking, reading and writing in a foreign language;
- Living in another country;
- Hiring, training, supervising and evaluating student employees and engaging alumni.

         This is an in-person, student-facing professional/managerial opportunity at the College’s Center for International Education (CIE). The core focus of the position is advising international (F-1 visa) students (currently about 350 students from 80 nations) as part of a 3-person team supporting students’ cultural adjustment, program completion and transfer.
         
 
        
        
         Additionally, the incumbent contributes to initiatives that are intentionally growing international and intercultural learning opportunities in our classrooms and on our campuses. In this regard, the incumbent will work with faculty, deans and the Director of International Education; and collaborate with a new, part-time Associate for international learning.
         
 
        
        
         This is a full-time, provisional (temporary) position with no anticipated end date. The starting salary is $50,382 and the position is benefits eligible. The Project Manager reports to the Director of International Education. The Center for International Education invests in staff professional development.
