The Manager of Pricing and Profitability is responsible for development, implementation, and measurement of the regional pricing strategies, in alignment with company-wide pricing strategies and policies. The role provides pricing leadership for all sales channels within the region, ensuring that pricing decision processes are aligned with overall strategic direction and profitability goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement best practices in price management, including development of accurate pricing and costing models. Ensure effective systems are in place and utilized to accurately measure price performance.
  • Provide guidance for execution of price strategy at regional, area, district and branch levels.
  • Develop, maintain and communicate quantitative pricing tools and analytics.
  • Provide leadership region management of pricing goals established by corporate, division and / or region. Creates and leads constructive interaction between and across corporate, division, and regional organizations.
  • Develop, communicate, promote, and measure consistent price models and guidelines to enable consistent pricing practices and applications across the region.
  • Evaluate methods and processes for improving price management (process and tools) throughout the region.
  • Price planning and review – utilize analytical tools to set strategic pricing goals and tie them to specific pricing actions.
  • Price optimization – develop and model guidelines for “optimal” pricing bands by product category and/or customer segment to optimize margin. Utilize tools, analytics, and other metrics to recommend price strategies to enhance margins and maximize customer profitability.
  • Price management – implement and enforce policies for pricing decisions, approvals, and notifications/alerts.
  • Price execution – ensure pricing decisions are consistently maintained in SAP price agreements and pricing hierarchies. Contribute to effective execution of related strategic initiatives (e.g., business planning, sales compensation, etc.).
  • Collaborate with operations and functional business process teams to understand and define real cost-to- serve, and incorporate costs into pricing decision processes.
  • Work closely with sales and marketing to increase account penetration and maximize customer profitability.
  • Analyze and understand pricing relative to competition and recommend appropriate actions to the business units. Implement market analytics that will foster sales and margin growth opportunities
  • Develop and conduct training programs to new and existing employees.
  • Complete corporate pricing-related projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred
  • Minimum 3 years business experience with emphasis in pricing strategies/analytics and/ or finance.
  • Skilled in Google Suite Office applications as well as Microsoft Word and Excel. Demonstrated ability to utilize financial applications within ERP software (i.e. SAP, Oracle).
  • Advanced knowledge and proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel. Experience with SQL is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and juggle between projects and demands. Demonstrate agility and flexibility in navigating in region, area, and district organization hierarchies.
  • Ability to analyze and disseminate large amounts of data.
  • Exhibits customer focused behavior such as building positive relationship management and strives to understand customer’s needs, both internal and external.
  • Ability to deal with difficult situations in a diplomatic and professional manner.
  • Excellent analytical and creative problem solving skills with the ability to make independent decisions based on investigation and judgment as well as ability to discern when to escalate issues.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to adjust communication methods based on customer situations.
  • Experience integrating new technologies into day-to-day operations.
  • Vision, creativity and a quality mindset.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team atmosphere.
  • Effectively present information, provide training, and respond to questions from groups in a business setting.
  • Effectively coach and mentor associates across the organization.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $140,000.00 per year
