Job Purpose:

Supervise warehouse employees who provide material handling service functions. Includes receipt and distribution of parts and/or assemblies to maintain production schedules and commitments. Work involves coordinating a number of involved clerical or technical operations with decisions made within the limits of general practices, standards and policies. Exercise a high level of independent judgment.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field, or equivalent training and experience.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Formal training in safety concepts in a heavy mechanical environment;

• Leadership development training;

• Demonstrated interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate employees and elicit work output;

• 3-5 years experience in railroad services and/or railroad mechanical operations preferred;

• Oral and written communications skills;

• Minimum 2 years supervisory or management experience;

• Experience managing safety programs in a heavy mechanical environment.
