Wenger Corporation is seeking a Production Technician in the Custom Staging department who will perform routine materials inspection/handling, routine machine operations, assembly, basic quality control, and packing/shipping prep within one assigned area in a manner, which meets or exceeds established quality and quantity standards for the area.

Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Working in the Custom Staging area fabricating and assembling non-standard decks and other assemblies
• Operation of drills, routers, clamps, straight cut saws, overhead hoists, hand tools and computer
• Reviews work assignments, paperwork, and other documentation/directions to facilitate the best of time and activity for the shift.
• Performs manufacturing processes assigned according to established policies, procedures and standards of the area
• Checks completed work for conformance with specifications
• Ensures quality standards are continuously met
• Confers with more senior personnel and/or a coordinator to share information, observations and recommendations for improvements in processes which may increase overall results within established quality standards
• Helps maintain the assigned area in a clean, orderly condition to minimize safety hazards and lost-time accidents
• Contributes to a cooperative work effort through performance of assigned duties in an accurate and timely manner
• Performs all other duties/tasks as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Requires mechanical ability and aptitude to perform manufacturing processes
• Minimum of six months experience in performing manufacturing processes
• Ability to make independent judgment
• Continuous standing and visual attention
• Moderately heavy lifting
