Job Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer is an expert and a leader in implementing and developing efficient manufacturing processes to improve the value of a growing organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES*

Manufacturing Performance*
- Effectively collaborate with manufacturing personnel to identify opportunities to improve product throughput
- Lead and execute projects to increase throughput of new and existing manufacturing process equipment
- Manage and lead the improvement of product family value streams to improve value (quality, cost, and delivery)
Process Validations
- Develop business cases to justify new manufacturing equipment and processes
- Research and Define process requirements and write validation plans for new equipment and processes
- Execute process validations within established timeframe to achieve budgeted performance targets
Maintenance and Facility Management
- Lead process risk management activities
- Implement and maintain process failure modes and effects analysis of manufacturing processes
- Lead maintenance activities to ensure the reliability of facility and equipment
Quality
- Lead Continuous Improvement activities to improve business throughput
- Monitor performance of manufacturing and QMS processes and take action to improve effectiveness
- Understand regulations and their connection to the QMS
Culture & Employee Relations
- May select, develop, and manage direct reports
- Be a positive contributor to Able’s culture and core principles through work performance, interactions with customers, and interactions with co-workers
- Demonstrate and inspire dedication to the company through own visible actions
RECOMMENDED EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
- BS in Engineering, or Technology (or equivalent experience) and typical 5-9 years’ experience
- Experience (or demonstrated ability) with technical disciplines, such as structured problem solving, analytical methods, process validation, statistical techniques
- Familiarity with International Quality Systems and regulatory requirements,
- Preferred experience in a medical manufacturing environment (close tolerance machining, design control systems, and batch release management)
- Proficient with lean tool techniques (e.g., standard work, 5S, Kanban, visual management)
