L3Harris’ Communication Systems segment is currently seeking a Manufacturing Technician D to join our team. This position will be based at our Salt Lake City, UT facility.

Overview:

Manufactures and tests electromechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies, including circuit cards, cable/harnesses, and various other electronic products while ensuring compliance with required performance specifications.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Sets up a variety of manufacturing apparatus, and completes assembly following methods, procedures, standards, and operations sequences
  • Ability to work from both oral and written instructions, engineering drawings, and blueprints
  • Documents assembly data and results, provides documentation of failed products
  • Works to achieve operational targets within the functional area
  • Able to work in both team and individual contributor roles, with minimal supervision
  • Resource to other employees for various operations within manufacturing assembly and test processes, having multiple area of manufacturing expertise
  • Individual must be able to work under a microscope for long periods of time
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects targeting waste affecting product quality, cost, and schedule or other items of value to the business.
  • Maintain professional standards of performance, demeanor, and judgment at all times as detailed in company policy and procedure
  • First shift work schedule
  • Support OT (nights, weekends, extended hours) as needed to meet schedule requirements and business needs
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by Management


Qualifications:

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Knowledgeable with Microsoft suite and personal computing devices.
  • Proficient in multiple electronics manufacturing processes, including soldering, using hand tools for cutting, stripping, crimping, and wiring electromechanical products, torque tools, and ESD practices.
  • Knowledge performing functional testing of electromechanical assemblies.
