Proman Staffing Reynoldsburg is currently looking for a candidate for a Manufacturing Technician in the Columbus, Ohio area.

FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

The broad function of a Manufacturing Technician is to provide support to our fabrication operations on the shop floor in an ISO based environment in keeping with corporate goals and our Quality Policy.

EDUCATION

· A Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering related field is preferred. Other education in the industrial, mechanical, or quality disciplines, will be considered.

EXPERIENCE

· Practical “hands on” related experience in a small to medium size company, preferably with 2+ years. Related experience in welding and metal fabrication a plus.

· A high attention to engineering detail and the ability to manage many projects simultaneously with respect to the support of production and our customer base.

· Excellent math skills, good computer literacy in Word and Excel is a must.

· Comfortable operating and leading in an ISO 9001 environment.

· Good written and verbal communications are required.

PHYSICAL

· The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

· BODY POSITIONS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand and/or walk. He/she will also be required to talk and/or listen for prolonged periods of time, both on the telephone and/or face to face.

· BODY MOVEMENTS: The employee must have a full range of body movements including use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, and equipment; and the ability to bend, reach, stretch, crouch, crawl, kneel, and/or climb.

· BODY SENSES: Must have command of all five senses, sight, hearing, touch, smell and taste. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. These vision requirements in each area must be sufficient to shift in focus from plans to jobsite and depth perception.

· STRENGTH: Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds.

· The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be higher in the plant.

· This position will be both in the office and plant. From this movement, the employee will encounter varying temperatures. The normal auto travel hazards will apply. Travel will be in all types of weather including heavy rain and below freezing temperatures with snow conditions.

· The employee may be exposed to work near moving parts and/or machinery in the plant.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
