The Marketing Coordinator’s ultimate goal is to ensure the marketing team stays organized and meets goals. They organize and implement all marketing campaigns, plan and organize product launches, and update marketing calendars to forecast appropriately. They will be responsible for the administration and coordination of the marketing, promotion, advertising, and public relations activities. This position will also execute marketing and advertising campaigns and tasks as assigned.
The Marketing Coordinator accomplishes this through direction from the Marketing Manager and by coordinating with the marketing team. This individual must be organized, detail oriented and skilled at managing multiple campaigns and tasks on a deadline. They are skilled at effectively working with a team to bring great ideas to life and are committed to on-brand quality work.
The Marketing Coordinator has some contact with customers, frequent contact with Saddleback employees inside and outside all departments, and regular contact with vendors.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Markets products and the company by coordinating and executing marketing campaigns and product launches.
- Create any media needed for campaigns, announcements, blogs, articles, images, videos, giveaways, product/service features, etc.
- Scheduling podcasts, interviews, and press releases; coordinating all outsourced content to hit at the right time.
- Coordinate giveaways, contests, and events.
- Researches competitive products by identifying and evaluating product characteristics, market share, pricing, and advertising; maintaining research databases.
- Maintain and strengthen the organization’s overall brand through all media avenues.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends.
- Setup tracking systems for marketing campaigns and online activities.
- Support the marketing team in other ways as required.
How we know you are the most qualified person for this position
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent knowledge
- At least 2 years experience in marketing and or project management
- Experience in Ecommerce preferred but not required
- Familiarity with web platforms, email systems, social media and public relations
Skills and Knowledge
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, organizational, and creative skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Results-driven, hands-on, and organized professional who can effectively handle complex project coordination.
- Ability to coordinate effectively across multiple departments to communicate requirements and implement strategies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Extremely well organized with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to work on multiple, parallel projects under deadlines
- Graphic design experience is a plus.
